Golf runs almost all year — the majors, the PGA Tour, the DP World Tour, the Ryder and Solheim Cups, and the LIV circuit besides — but in the UK it doesn’t all sit on one channel. Sky Sports carries the lion’s share, TNT Sports has LIV, and the BBC keeps a slice of The Open. What they share is that none of it travels.

Where Golf Lives on UK TV

Why None of It Travels
Sky Go, NOW, the HBO Max app that carries TNT, BBC iPlayer — each one is licensed for the UK, so each one reads the IP address your connection comes from. Open any of them on a Spanish, French or Portuguese address and the golf simply won’t start.
Paying for the subscription changes nothing: the block is on the location of your line, not the state of your account. A British subscriber paying for both Sky and TNT is turned away abroad exactly like anyone else.
